Job role: We are looking for a proactive school/college leaver or recent graduate to join our Operations team as a Team Assistant Trainee for a year. Our traineeship will give you the opportunity to hit the ground running, supporting a busy team in a boutique investment house. JOHCM will also support you in starting an industry relevant qualification, such as the Investment Foundations Programme, which can be discussed with your line manager at the outset.
In addition to this, as part of the Investment20/20 trainee programme, you will have the opportunity to further your professional development and form valuable networks through learning and development events with other trainees in the programme. The programme also offers an opportunity to become a Trainee Ambassador, where you can deliver presentations to schools, colleges or universities, talking about your career journey so far and the opportunities the industry has to offer.
This is a varied role which will provide you with the opportunity to build up your understanding of the day-to-day workings of an investment management firm. Reporting directly to and primarily supporting the firm’s Chief Operating Officer as part of this role you will also be required to provide support to a further 20 staff working in the Client Services, Dealing, Information Technology, Operations, Product Office and Project Office teams. This role is well suited to an organised individual who can demonstrate a delivery focused ‘can do’ attitude who enjoys being part of a busy team. Attention to detail is key as is an ability to work under pressure.
