Programme information

You will join as a trainee as part of the Investment20/20 programme. While we can’t guarantee a permanent position at the end of the 12 month contract, it is our intention to make an offer to extend a further year, but this is up to how well you perform. 75% of Investment20/20 trainees are offered permanent positions.

Our traineeship will introduce you to investment management and you will gain industry knowledge, experience and develop relationships enabling you to progress your career and provide you with skills to secure a permanent role. We will support you in achieving a professional qualification if this is something you are interested in doing. As part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events. 

Our trainee programme is a fixed term one-year contract. You will receive 24 days annual leave. All roles are based in London. Salary £36,000+

Programme Summary

This is a programme intended to give you a breadth of knowledge and experience within the business to enable you to make informed decisions about where you would like to develop your career.

Responsibilities include

The main mission of the Amundi London Middle Office is to support local investment teams (Emerging Markets, Global Fixed Income and Leverage Loans) along with acting as central point of contact on operational matters for our UK Clients. This being done by ensuring that position-keeping records are kept up to date and that both valuations and reporting published are consistent with them. Training will be provided by the team.

The main responsibilities includes but are not limited to the following:

• Perform Cash, NAV and Holding reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies until full resolution.
• Oversight of Trade Processing departments on settlement failures or delays until claim case closed.
• Instruct daily margin calls with clearers when required and supervise any kind of collateral exchanged on the portfolios (cash or securities).
• Perform currency funding for trades performed in exotic currencies.
• Ensure client reports are delivered within the deadlines and liaise with the different internal teams in order to amend incorrect data.
• Follow-up events on portfolios with Business Implementation team.
• Assist and actively contribute to any new Middle Office projects aimed at improving controls and the overall efficiency of the team.
• In this internship role, on top of assisting the team, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Independently support senior team members with preparation for client meetings and detailed due diligence sessions. This includes compiling convincing bespoke marketing presentations.
• Recommending, and reviewing any ideas for improvement, changes, or developments to reports and business tools while pro-actively monitoring and reducing errors and omissions in all reports.
• The role holder will adhere to FCA rules and principles and the Firm’s policies and procedures. Where appropriate, the role holder will seek guidance from Head of Compliance.

Requirements
