We look after our customers’ money and help them achieve their financial goals. Typically, these goals could be:
- Saving up a deposit for a new house
- Planning for retirement
- Investing for school or university fees
Although we are an Investment Management firm, we offer a wealth of different career options in addition to Fund Management, from Technology and Marketing, to Sales and Operations.
We’re proud to be a firm that achieves more together. One that is focused on doing work that matters. One that gives a voice to every employee. One that genuinely cares. By coming together to share our ideas, listen, and challenge each other’s perspectives, we get to better solutions for our clients.
Our ambition is high. By working smart and supporting one another, we can continuously push ourselves to grow. We all have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our business, our industry and our clients’ lives.
Why join us?
We like to think our employees are best in class. The expectations are high but in return we put a great deal of effort into creating a first-class working environment. Our high performance culture means not settling for average and we reward our people based on merit. We foster a respectful, collegial, and collaborative atmosphere, and diversity of thought is a core strength of our organisation.
‘Diversity of Thought’ is one of three key attributes that sit at the heart of Invesco’s Purpose, defining our investment philosophy, collegial culture and decision-making ethos. Ensuring our teams have a broad range of experiences and backgrounds helps us promote the diversity of thought needed to deliver a superior investment experience for clients and maintain a positive, engaging work environment for our people. Invesco EMEA is also proud to have signed up to the UK Government’s Women in Finance Charter.
Personal development is strongly encouraged and supported at Invesco. And this doesn’t simply mean going on the odd training course. It’s about individuals taking control of their own futures, with guidance from senior management, and working in areas of the business in which they wish to develop and learn more. Development planning is for everyone.
‘Work should be fun’ is a cliché, but we do try our best to help people get to know each other and provide opportunities for socialising outside the formality of the office. There is an active Sports and Social committee; this gives employees the chance to enjoy quiz nights, weekends away, themed nights out and sporting events like golf or horse racing.
Our Henley campus is situated close to Henley railway station and there is a free shuttle bus service offered from Reading railway station. There is a state-of-the-art subsidised gym on site offering a full range of equipment and regular classes available to all staff, Monday to Friday. Invesco offers a full range of employee benefits to all trainees; including private medical cover, a generous pension and travel loans amongst others.
What we are looking for
We are delighted to be a part of the Investment20/20 initiative and are pleased to be able to offer placements to a number of trainees.
Successful applicants can look forward to a challenging and rewarding 12 months with one of the UK’s leading asset managers. Trainees will gain an invaluable insight into the world of investment management. They will have the opportunity to play an active role and develop key skills which will stand them in good stead for securing a permanent position, either at Invesco or elsewhere in the industry.
So, if you’re enthusiastic, keen to learn and ready to take your first step towards a career in the investment industry, we’d love to hear from you.
