Accounts Payable Trainee
Why do you enjoy your job?
I work in the Accounts Payable team within the finance department at Janus Henderson. My team is responsible for ensuring payment and supplies are delivered on time. I enjoy dealing with supplier queries whilst being responsible for large payment sums.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
One challenging aspect of the role is making sure the whole process from start to finish is completed as efficiently as possible. This means chasing individuals to ask them to approve important invoices in order to prevent Janus Henderson’s services being cut off.
How did you get into your job?
After graduating from Kingston University my plan was to stay and live in London. After working at two different companies in different industries, I was accepted on the Investment 20/20 programme. I have had an excellent experience at Janus Henderson, whilst being given many responsibilities in my role.
What are your future aspirations?
My plans are to stay in this industry whilst pursuing further professional qualifications.
How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?
It has been a brilliant experience, one which I would highly recommend. You meet great people and are exposed to new tasks that develop your skills.
