Operations Trainee |
School/College Leaver

Why do you enjoy your job?

During my time at Jupiter, I have had the opportunity of working in various teams, including client and regulatory reporting, portfolio services and portfolio compliance. No day is ever the same and this is something I have really enjoyed. My versatile role gives me the opportunity to see how various business areas work and appreciate the business from different perspectives. This is something that I have found particularly helpful as a school leaver.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

One of the most challenging things about my job has been finding my best fit in the industry. Being a school leaver, the industry as a whole was very new, unknown but full of opportunity. The scheme has allowed me to find my footing within the firm and explore different aspects of the industry that I have taken an interest in.

How did you get into your job?

From school I looked at alternative career pathways that didn’t include university. Having been undecided about subject choice at university, Investment20/20 has been a great tool to gain insight and experience in an industry that I have always had a particular interest in.

What are your future aspirations?

In the future I hope to complete the relevant qualifications which will assist my career and gain a lot more knowledge within the industry.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

Investment20/20 has massively helped me to step out of my comfort zone, especially straight after leaving school. Taking on new opportunities and tasks has allowed me to develop my own knowledge within the industry and has helped me in my own personal development, making me a more confident person.
