I enjoy doing my job as it allows me to apply my numeric skills daily into real business situations. Being involved with a business within the financial sector is very interesting and learning new stuff everyday keeps me engaged. With maths being my favourite subject at school it’s good to be working with numbers for a job.
The most challenging thing about my job is making sure you are constantly focused, as everything has to be accurate and to the point, to avoid errors with reporting figures or charging/paying incorrect amounts.
I started my apprenticeship straight after sixth form as my first proper job, even though I didn’t apply for my apprenticeship through Investment20/20 the support they offer is incredible. They are constantly advertising short courses to do with different areas of the financial sector which I could attend to boost my understanding of my area of work.
I would like to pass my apprenticeship and continue on to fully qualify with CIMA, continuing to work within the financial sector.
An ongoing experience that is always offering support to learn about the business
