Why do you enjoy your job?

I like working and building relationships with individuals from all around the business, from IT to marketing to the front office. I also think that giving advice to stakeholders on what they are purchasing, whether it is technology or training schemes, and seeing how it adds value to the business is rewarding.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

Procurement works closely with legal to ensure that contracts accurately reflect the agreed level of service. It was initially difficult understanding the legal jargon; however after a few weeks you start to become more familiar with the technical terms that form contracts.

How did you get into your job?

I studied Economics at the University of Birmingham. The trainee scheme was my first full-time job after university.

What are your future aspirations?

In the next few years I would like to gain my CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualifications.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

It is a great opportunity to work and network with people your own age in a dynamic and interesting industry.
