Why do you enjoy your job?

I particularly enjoy the social aspect of my role. On a day to day basis I am able to interact with dozens of different people, often from different companies. This gives me great variety in my working day as I am constantly enjoying unique experiences.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

It can be a challenge having to break unwanted news to individuals. There are often occasions where I have to tell people things they don’t want to hear, and being able to deal with that in a way that doesn’t aggravate them more can be a challenge.

How did you get into your job?

I am currently on a placement year from my Management course at The University of Leeds. Once I finish my trainee year at GAM in September, I will return to university to complete my final year. I found out about the Investment20/20 Programme from a friend who knew about the opportunity as a member of their family works at GAM. I haven’t yet made the half-way point of my placement year; however I can already notice a progression in my professionalism and understanding of the working environment.

What are your future aspirations?

I don’t really have any aspirations yet beyond completing my degree.

How would you sum up your Investment20/20 experience?

The experience is a great opportunity that will allow me to finish my degree as a much more desirable and professional candidate to potential employers.
