I love helping out with recruitment and frequently meeting new people. I am a very talkative, people person, so this role suits me perfectly. I have learnt a great deal about the company itself and developed my communication skills.
Whilst studying for my A-levels I was unsure of what I wanted to do next and my friend pointed me towards the Investment20/20 website as an alternative option.
After my year’s apprenticeship I am going on to study Accounting & Finance at university. Without this year I would never have chosen to study this. My apprenticeship has definitely guided me in choosing what to study.
Investment20/20 has really been great, not only has it exposed me to a whole network of new people, I have picked up and honed many different transferable skills. I have had great hands-on insight into the financial sector through all the Investment20/20 insight days. It has also been a wonderful opportunity to meet new people who I wouldn’t have had the chance to meet otherwise.
I would definitely advise anyone who is thinking about joining an Investment20/20 programme to go for it, at the end of the day it’s only a year, if you enjoy it, you’ll probably stay on at your company, and if you don’t you will have the experience, connections and skills to take wherever you go onto next.
