Operations is a busy and dynamic business area, with lots of exciting opportunities to build and develop your career. Our business area comprises of a number of functions and Hubs working globally supporting the entire client journey. We support processes from onboarding new clients, transaction processing, derivatives, daily oversight of the Funds Net Asset Value (NAV) and ensuring that we meet all our Client, Fund and regulatory obligations.
The programme
You will join Schroders as a permanent employee and start your career in our Operations Academy, which currently runs for 18-24 months. During this time you will study for your CISI Level 3 – Investment Operations Certificate, learn on the job and have access to a wide range of soft skill training courses.
Investment20/20
You will join as an Operations Academy Trainee as part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with trainees across the industry and participate in training, socials and insight events.

What you'll do
Within this role you will work to ensure the integrity of custody and cash position data and the complete reconciliation, investigation and allocation of all breaks in cash and securities. You will also liaise with an array of operational teams to ensure that breaks are investigated and resolved and that issues are tracked to resolution.
You will be allocated portfolios for which you will be the point of contact and will be responsible for proactively investigating and following up queries.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
You must be at least 18 years old by the start date of the programme to apply for the advertised intake. You will need to study for your CISI Level 3 – Investment Operations Certificate outside of normal office hours. This role is open to both school/college leavers, non-graduates and graduates.
After your initial training, you have the option to work from home as well as in our office. Minimum expectation is 60% of the week working in our office.
