Trainee Programme

Investment20/20 provides access to a network of investment management firms committed to helping you start, grow, and succeed in the industry.

Over 60 investment management firms offer Investment20/20 trainee jobs. The Trainee Programme is at least a 12-month full time paid job with training, support and networking opportunities. Sometimes the trainee year is included as part of an apprenticeship. Trainees are employed by the firm and enrolled on the Investment20/20 Trainee Programme.

The Investment20/20 Trainee Programme is suitable for people both with and without a degree. Internships or relevant work experience is not required.

Job roles vary and require different skills. To become a trainee, you apply directly to the recruiting employer, and you can apply for multiple roles.

Investment20/20 trainees receive training by their employer, as well as access to the Investment20/20 development programme.

At the end of the 12 months, trainees are often offered a permanent role at their employer, however this cannot be guaranteed. You will continue to be a member of the Investment20/20 community, invited to networking sessions and other ongoing development opportunities.

“Transitioning from a career in plumbing to asset servicing was a significant leap, especially without prior experience or industry knowledge. Whilst initially I felt an imposter syndrome and unfamiliar with the sector, Investment20/20 played a crucial role in helping me explore and understand various aspects of the industry, while also providing opportunities to network with like-minded individuals. My employer, Northern Trust, has also provided lots of training and ongoing support. I highly recommend Investment20/20 to anyone, whether they are school leavers, university graduates, or individuals like myself seeking a career change.”
