Investment20/20 Trainees take part in a wide range of development and networking opportunities alongside their job. Trainees participate in:
Investment20/20 trainee development Over 20 sessions to choose from that support the development of career, technical and networking skills.
On the job specific role training Delivered by your employer, this training will teach you the essentials of your job. This will be delivered as part of your working week and may include short courses or development days.
Professional qualifications Trainees may be offered the opportunity to begin a professional qualification relevant to their role. This is discussed between the trainee and the employer.
Investment20/20 Career Ambassadors You will be given the opportunity to become an Investment20/20 Careers Ambassador and Investment20/20 Social Media Ambassador. These roles provide an opportunity to get involved in a wider way across the programme, develop new skills and meet other trainees.
Trainee Forum The Trainee Forum lead on organising trainee social events. Trainees nominate themselves to join the Forum. It is a fantastic way to meet other people just starting their career in investment management.
Investment20/20 Trainee and Alumni LinkedIn group. You will be able to connect with Investment20/20 trainees through the LinkedIn group. This is also where you will find invites posted by Investment20/20 to additional conferences and events!
Progression
Investment20/20 trainees are often offered permanent roles with their employer at the end of the 12-month Trainee Programme. A permanent role cannot be guaranteed however, and on those occasions Investment20/20 can offer support in planning the next step. Investment20/20 alumni remain part of the Investment20/20 community and can continue to access the Investment20/20 LinkedIn group to continue to build their professional network. Alumni are always part of the Investment20/20 community!
