Karis leads the Investment20/20 team and is an executive director of the Investment Association. She joined Investment20/20 in 2014 shortly after it started and under her leadership it has developed into a multi award winning organisation driving inclusive and responsible recruitment with young people from all backgrounds. Prior to Investment20/20 Karis specialised in entry talent and learning and development within financial services.

Jenny leads Investment20/20’s careers and talent strategy. As an experienced talent professional with a keen interest in social mobility, she develops Investment20/20’s student engagement programmes that reach and inspire a diverse community of young people. Her strategy helps tomorrow’s workforce navigate their way into the industry and connects members with a broader talent base. Jenny joined Investment20/20 in 2019 having led careers programmes for a national education charity, developed education outreach programmes for financial services and worked in schools, colleges and universities.

Gina is part of a team of two responsible for looking after Investment20/20’s employer members. Gina advises members on their entry level talent programmes with a focus on diversity and inclusion, delivers on-boarding of new starters and provides learning, development and networking opportunities for trainees throughout their trainee year. Gina joined Investment20/20 in 2014 shortly after it started having previously worked in a range of operations and client focused roles within financial services.

Juliet is part of a team of two responsible for looking after Investment20/20’s employer members. Juliet joined Investment20/20 in 2019 having led a communication skills training consultancy, following a career in acting, scriptwriting and producing for television.

Charlotte started her professional career as an Investment20/20 trainee in 2017.

Sue makes sure everything runs smoothly with the delivery of our 200 student careers and outreach events that connect students and industry professionals. As an experienced talent professional with a keen interest in learning and development, she drives Investment20/20’s student engagement programmes that reach and inspire a diverse community of young people. Her approach helps young talent navigate their way into the industry while enabling Scottish members to create a talented workforce for the future.

With experience in graphic design and owning a cocktail pop-up bar, Kandana has a strong creative background and has developed a love for digital marketing and media. Upon completing her Masters in Strategic Digital Marketing, Kandana joined the Investment20/20 team and is responsible for the digital and social media marketing campaigns that reach over 3,700 schools, colleges, and universities across the UK.

As Deputy General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for BNY Mellon Investment Management, Jane leads and directs legal strategies, policies and practices that support the business. Over the course of her career, she has held a number of leadership roles including General Counsel of Insight Investment Limited and Managing Director at BlackRock (and its predecessor companies) as Head of the Legal Team for all issues in EMEA. Jane is a top contributor and thought leader in her field. She is a passionate advocate for all matters relating to social mobility and inclusion both in the workplace and across our industry. Jane has a first class LLB degree in Law (University of Warwick) and a BCL degree in law (University of Oxford) and holds the IMC from the CFA.

Michael was appointed Head of Investment Stewardship in July 2022 in addition to being Head of Responsible Investment Integration for Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), having joined LGIM in 2016 as Chief Operating Officer. In this Role Michael is responsible for engagement with investee companies globally across all LGIM’s assets under management as well as regulatory and policy engagement regarding ESG matters. He is also responsible for driving LGIM’s broad responsible investment strategic direction span all functions within LGIM.
Prior to LGIM Michael had a 28 year career at BlackRock (and its predecessor firms), where he was most latterly regional head of the Client Solutions group. Preceding that role Michael had established and led a number of businesses including the Fiduciary Mandate business, the Aladdin risk management and enterprise tools business and the Transition Management group. Michael is a passionate supporter of inclusion, a vocal ally and executive sponsor of Legal & General’s LGBT network. He graduated from UMIST in 1987 with a degree in Management Science.

Louise has over twenty years corporate affairs experience, starting her career in No10 as a speech writer before taking up various communications roles in Whitehall. She has led teams in a number of bluechip organisations including Lloyds of London, Royal Sun Alliance and most recently Santander, where she was Director of Corporate Communications and Responsible Banking. She is currently the Group Corporate Affairs and Brand Director at M&G.

Chris Cummings joined the Investment Association as Chief Executive in September 2016 following 5 years leading TheCityUK, and another 7 years as head of the Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA). He has advised HM Treasury on regulatory matters, served on advisory groups for business ministers and held senior posts in banking, insurance and consulting. He is a member of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Regulatory Decisions Committee and Cass Business School’s Strategy Board and a Visiting Professor. He is a regular press columnist and speaker on issues of international competitiveness and regulation in financial services.

Darren Johnson is Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Impax Asset Management and sits on the Executive Committee. Darren is also a board member of Impax’s management company in Ireland and sits on its UCITS board.
Darren joined Impax in 2007 and during his tenure, he has driven operational transformations, built teams and pioneered the company’s transition into cloud services to support rapid growth.
In addition to his Impax responsibilities, Darren sits on the board of a number of charities and organisations, including St Mungo’s and the investment advisory board of Comic Relief. Darren is also a prominent advocate of Diversity issues across the financial services, is co-founder of TalkAboutBlack and acts as an ambassador for Investment 20/20, an organisation which provides school leavers and graduates from non-traditional backgrounds with opportunities in asset management.

David Hughes is Chief Executive of the Association of Colleges, representing and supporting further education colleges to fulfil their role as anchor institutions, supporting over 2 million students each year. David has worked in post-16 education for over 25 years, including a decade as a senior civil servant. Before that he worked in Australia and the UK in community development, regeneration, welfare, employment and social housing.
David holds several Board positions including with the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics and the Bell Foundation.

A key part of Foster’s role is to lead the Board of Directors of AllianceBernstein Limited with the day-to-day operations of the regulated entity within Europe, with a focus on the fast-changing regulatory landscape. He also leads other key projects for the board. Prior to his current role, Foster worked in AllianceBernstein’s Fixed Income business unit, holding positions in business management, risk and technology. Prior to AB, Foster spent over 10 years at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch, where he held various positions across both technology and operations.

Louise Hosking is Chief of Staff for Schroders supporting the CEO, Peter Harrison and his management team to grow the company in the context of its culture and strategy. She has 35 years’ experience in management, consulting and coaching and joined Schroders in 2008 with responsibility for talent management and development and in 2015 moved into Investment as Head of Organisational Development. Louise is an accredited business coach and certified by the British Psychological Society in psychometric testing. She has a MSc in Organisational Behaviour from Birkbeck, University of London.

Marisa is a Co-Head in the Thinking Ahead Institute, a global not-for-profit research-led network that brings together asset owners and asset managers with a view of changing the investment industry for the benefit of the end saver and the planet. Prior to this, Marisa spent over a decade as a consultant providing investment advice to a number of large pension funds. She is a qualified actuary and sits on the board of London Women’s Forum and is also on the steering committee of #talkaboutblack.

Peter Horrell is UK Chairman of Fidelity International, was a Board member at the Investment Association (2015 – 2021) and sits on the Advisory Councils at City UK and the Diversity Project.
Peter’s executive career included running Fidelity’s UK business and global responsibilities across investment platforms and personal investing.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Peter held a number of senior positions at Barclays, including as Chief Executive of the global Wealth & Investment Management division.
